Summer Term 2024

Our summer term led up to 2 special weeks of exams and open classes so that every student in the dance school had the opportunity to perform and showcase the work they had been perfecting during the year.

48 dancers took part in the exam session and it was a huge achievement for many, especially those who were taking their first ever exam, solo performance award or vocational level; huge congratulations to everyone!

The exams would not be possible without the support of the cricket club, assistant Jacqueline Chong and the lovely Ms April; everyone's help has been hugely appreciated by students and Ms Lisa alike. Thank you!

And finally to watching week which was a real celebration for our students. The progress this year was clear for all to see and Ms Lisa is so proud of the effort which has been made by all her ballerinas; from the 3 year olds right up to those students about to leave for university, it has been such a joy to watch everyone grow and develop their skills and confidence.

Spring Term 2024

The highlight of the Spring Term was our performance on March 16th.

Our theme this year was 'Jewels'; Ms Lisa loved choreographing dances for each group based on different ballets and famous dances from around the world. And it was lots of fun creating sparkly costumes and headpieces!

The senior students dancing the roles of 'lead jewel' took part in a photo shoot to be able to star in the programme and we also ran a design competition; the winners had their artwork incorporated onto the tickets and front of the programme. It was most definitely a colourful event!

Winter Term 2023

Our winter term got off to a successful start as we welcomed many new students to lessons; thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word about EncoreBallet classes!

New vocabulary was picked up enthusiastically across all levels ready to be incorporated into our performance dances and exam work later in the school year.

Watching week was held at the end of term and we had super support from parents, siblings, aunties and a few grandparents too which was wonderful. Thank you all!

Summer Term 2023

The focus for many of our students this term has been the Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams. 46 dancers took part and it was a happy and positive experience for all. Ages ranged from the 5 year olds who were so excited to be taking their first ever exam, right up to the poised and composed Intermediate students who are complete pros at exams now!

Jacqueline Chong, one of Ms Lisa's ex-students, was back in Hong Kong and proved incredibly helpful in the waiting area making sure everyone was ready for their exam. Ms April was delighted to be on the i-pad again, playing the music and assisting in the exam studio; her reassuring presence was appreciated by students and Ms Lisa alike. Special thanks must also go to the Mums who helped out with hair to make sure all the girls looked like real ballerinas!

We concluded the term with watching week. So many parents commented on the progress which their daughter and class mates have made since the previous watching week held in December. Our older students in particular have worked so hard to pull off a show and exam this year; a real achievement and huge congratulations to all.

Spring Term 2023

The highlight of the Spring Term was our performance on March 25th. Tickets were sold-out and we were so very happy that all our dancers were able to perform mask free; the smiles from everyone on stage were priceless!

Thank you to all parents for your support this term; it is these experiences which help our dancers progress in their ballet journey and the enthusiasm shown by all our performers certainly made it worth all the hard work which it takes to pull off a show like this.

From the 3 year old chicks who were adorable, right through to our experienced performers who looked so professional on stage, we are proud of every single student!

Winter Term 2022

September-December 2022 was a busy first term for EncoreBallet! We were delighted to welcome lots of new students to classes and Ms Lisa was incredibly impressed with everyone's progress in just a few short months.

Our photoshoot in November was enormous fun and students showed such enthusiasm, energy and patience to produce not only their beautiful photos, but some creative art work as well! See below for more photos...

Our fantastic photographer Asher Chan also helped us take some lovely photos of our UNIFORM - a big thank you to our models and their parents!

We finished the term with a very successful watching week. Thank you to everyone who came to support our dancers; it was super to have so many in the audience!

OUR LEAD UP TO CHRISTMAS...

What a fantastic morning we had at the Christmas Card Photo Shoot!

Our dancers loved dressing up as beautiful Snowflakes, Sugarplums and Claras and posing for the camera

Creativity shone through in the unique frames which they decorated and in the delicate beaded snowflakes which worked their fine motor skills to the max!

A BIG thank you to Asher Chan from Asher Chan Photography for making our students feel instantly at ease in front of the camera and for making the time with each dancer so special x
