Performance

Participation Fee

​

The participation fee for EncoreBallet Performance 2025 is $380.

 

This includes:

  • Rehearsal at theatre on 15th March and any additional class rehearsals (to link dances)

  • Access to group and performance photos taken on the day

 

It also helps EncoreBallet cover the many costs involved including theatre hire, insurance, set, props, music etc.

Class Attendance

As I'm sure you can appreciate, it takes a lot of time to prepare for a performance and is truly a group effort. We would love this to be a positive and rewarding experience for everyone and the best way for parents to help achieve this is by ensuring your daughter attends as many classes as possible as we practice for the show. We do understand that absences are sometimes unavoidable, but for any dates (extended overseas holidays or school events) which are planned in advance, we would appreciate you informing us when you sign your daughter up to participate in the show. If Ms Lisa knows that your daughter needs to miss a particular lesson then she can plan to cover as much choreography as possible in the previous lesson; this is not possible if notice is only given on the day of the class.

Costumes

 

A costume will be ordered for each student taking part in the performance; measurements will be taken at the beginning of the Spring Term.

 

Fees for the costumes will be kept to a minimum:

Students 3 years - Grade 2 should expect to pay around $400 and Grade 3 and up roughly $600. This includes the delivery cost to ship the costumes from overseas.

 

Students are required to wear clean ballet shoes and tights with their costume and have the correct hair items to style their hair into a bun. These items are not included in the costume fee but may be ordered closer to the show date if needed.

Tickets

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 17th February! A message will be sent to all parents prior to this date; tickets may be ordered through the website.

Adult ticket $150

Child tickets $100

         

Infant tickets – infants up to 3 years old are free when sitting on an adult’s lap; please order when purchasing regular tickets

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CLASS REHEARSALS

Students are required to enroll for the Spring Term and attend all classes leading up to the performance. Any dates which will be missed during the Spring Term (including but not limited to extended overseas holidays or school events) should be noted on the application form. EncoreBallet reserves the right to withdraw a student from the performance if they have not had adequate class time to learn the choreography.

 

ON-STAGE REHEARSAL and PERFORMANCE

All students are required to attend the rehearsal on the morning of the performance. Younger students will be allowed to leave once they have rehearsed to have lunch, returning in time to get ready in their costumes. All students must stay until the end of the performance as the whole cast will perform in the finale. A chaperone will be assigned to each group so we ask that parents and/or guardians refrain from entering the theatre/backstage area during rehearsals and the performance.

 

COSTUMES

A costume will be ordered for each student; this is not included in the participation fee. Invoices will be sent out by email in the Spring term and should be settled before the date of the performance. As the order will be made well in advance of the performance, costume fees are non-refundable under any circumstance (including medical conditions/certificates).

 

TICKETS

Tickets for the performance are not included in the participation fee. Tickets will go on sale in February and may be ordered on the EncoreBallet website. All members of the audience will need a ticket to enter the auditorium; infant tickets may be applied for alongside the purchase of adult tickets. All tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis and cannot be refunded except in the event that the performance is cancelled as specified in the refund policy.

REFUND POLICY (applicable to specific events)

The participation fee paid to be part of EncoreBallet’s performance on 15/03/25 is non-refundable under any circumstances including non-controllable events. However, in the specific instance relating to regulations or restrictions imposed by the HKSAR Government that lead to the cancellation of the performance, refund of the participation fee will be arranged. Costume fees are non-refundable under any circumstance (including medical conditions/certificates).
